New Jewish-American Campus Network seeks "middle path" for peace.
The following press release has been received from the newly formed Tikkun Campus Network.  It is reproduced verbatim.

Can you help us reach students, faculty and staff at any college, university, professional school or high school?

We are creating a Tikkun Campus Network--as part of our effort to create an alternative to AIPAC and to the hate-mongers and war-promoters.  The Tikkun Campus Network will be part of our "middle path" --on the one hand, insisting on an end to the Occupation of the West Bank and Gaza and on reparations for the Palestinian refugees, on the other hand insisting on an end to terror and advocating real security for Israel and rejecting the path of those who have allowed righteous indignation at Israel's policies to slide into denial of the legitimacy of Israel or into anti-Semitism.

The Tikkun Campus Network will also be challenging Bush's rush to war with Iraq, and it will be championing the "New Bottom Line" (our call for institutions to be judged productive, efficient and rational not only to the extent that they maximize money and power, but also to the extent that they maximize love and caring, ethical and ecological sensitivity, and awe and wonder at the grandeur of creation).

The Founding Conference of the Tikkun Campus Network (TCN) is October 11-14 at John Jay College and Stephen Wise Free Synagogue in New York City. It is not just for Jews, but for any high school, college, graduate school or professional school student, faculty or staff.

         Speakers include:
Cornel West       Susannah Heschel     Michael Lerner
Michael Moore    Tony Kushner           Joel Kovel
Lev Grinberg       Ana Villa-Lobos        Ofer Sharone
Marisa Handler    Peter Gabel   and more
